Arty Wooden Birds

I actually had some time this past weekend to make a few birthday gifts for some friends. Two people in one of my art groups had shown the birds they had made and I just loved them! So off to Michael's I went to buy raw wooden birds. I already had enough jewels to add to the birds, it was just hard to decide what to use. But in the end I didn't think they needed a lot of embellishment. They were fun to create!

Wedding Of Heather & Josh

In February one of my good friend's daughter was married. I helped out with the wedding as much as I could. Making some of the corsages, helping with setting up the alter, as well as getting everyone down the isle on the big evening and making sure everything went off without a hitch at the reception. There were a few hiccups but the bride and groom never knew a thing and all was well in the end. Below are a few pictures a wonderful friend of the bride's family took. Enjoy!

New Job and No Art

I have been real busy trying to keep up since I started a new job several weeks ago. I apologize for not posting more often. I have not had time or felt like doing any art lately. I have not worked 40 hours a week in so long I forgot how much time it takes out of the day to get anything done. By the time I get home, walk the dog, and cook dinner it is time for bed.  I do have some pictures to post of a wedding I helped put together back in February. Things in the Studio

Changing some things in my studio this past week. I found these cute lights at World Market. Love having them hang from the ceiling.

I found these trays at the dollar store and thought they would be great for my mini dies.
