Fun Hanging Mobile Class I Took

Really cool class I took at Stamp Asylum today. It was taught by Joni Russell from Artful Illusions. http://www.mrsolearysart.com/oleary.html It is made from these little wire hangers that look vintage but of course are reproductions. Cool never the less. This is a close-up of one of the tags. I covered the clock on the stamped image with a plastic watch face. I added loose watch parts inside it so they move around under the plastic.
The tags are all stamped then ribbons and collage fodder is added. Some is glued directly to the tag and others are popped up with pop dots.
Love the hands on this one holding one of the stamped images. Gotta have that stamp!

Metal rimmed tags are stamped and hang below the tags. Joni did other classes at the store this weekend too. Hopefully she can come back in October to teach again. Watch the Stamp Asylum blog for more details http://stampasylum.blogspot.com/

First Alice Journal

This is the first of the Alice journals I have received to work in. I painted this background using acrylics and a credit card. The border, Madhatter and the Rabbit are from a digital kit I bought online from Scrapbook Graphics http://www.scrapbookgraphics.com .
I sewed the mushroom using some brightly colored fabric I have and put batting behind it to make it more dimensional.

The flower spray is from Prima. I did add some stickles to some of the flowers.
This has been fun and I am waiting on the second journal. We swap again on the 15th.
