New Class At Stamp Asylum

This is what you will make in my new solder class. Flowers have been so popular lately I decided to incorporate some solder pieces in the centers of these flowers instead of buttons or rhinestones. To take the class you already need to know how to solder because I will not be teaching that part of the class. I will be concentrating on teaching the flowers. Call the store to sign up 972 596-1224

I will be teaching a beginner solder class next quarter so watch the Stamp Asylum blog or email for a date on that. I will also list it here on my blog.

BLOOMING SOLDER cost is $55.00
Think soft beautiful organza flowers with artwork behind glass for centers. These flowers look great on a jackets, purse, Spring hat or box. You will make two flowers and solder the pieces for the middle. THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER SOLDER CLASS. Bring to class a solder iron with a small screwdriver type tip, bone folder or phid, scissors and glue stick. Everything else is provided.

New Soldered Charms

I posted new charms in my ETSY store http://www.donnagoss.etsy.com/ tonight. I also added them to the rack at Stamp Asylum. So if your interested and local you can go by the store to purchase them. There are quote ones (long and skinny), definitions, digital art dolls and initials.
They have a beaded dangle hanging from the top of them but not in this photo. I added it later.
I especially love the art doll ones. I used porcelain doll heads and stamps to complete the dolls. They are done digitally and made fairies and queens out of them. Found some great glittered card stock that a friend told me about. It really makes the definitions and quotes sparkle.

Fun Hanging Mobile Class I Took

Really cool class I took at Stamp Asylum today. It was taught by Joni Russell from Artful Illusions. http://www.mrsolearysart.com/oleary.html It is made from these little wire hangers that look vintage but of course are reproductions. Cool never the less. This is a close-up of one of the tags. I covered the clock on the stamped image with a plastic watch face. I added loose watch parts inside it so they move around under the plastic.
The tags are all stamped then ribbons and collage fodder is added. Some is glued directly to the tag and others are popped up with pop dots.
Love the hands on this one holding one of the stamped images. Gotta have that stamp!

Metal rimmed tags are stamped and hang below the tags. Joni did other classes at the store this weekend too. Hopefully she can come back in October to teach again. Watch the Stamp Asylum blog for more details http://stampasylum.blogspot.com/

Valentine Art at Stamp Asylum

These ornaments would be the perfect gift for that special person in your life. Pick one with their initial and they can display it all year long.
Come by the store to purchase one. Stamp Asylum 2001 Coit Road STE 165, Plano, TX 75075, 972 596-1224
Fill a glass vase with branches then string pom pom ribbon through the branches. Die cut hearts from a hymnal and sprinkle German glass glitter on the edges of each one. Hang them from the branches for a sweet and simple decoration.
This idea would be great for other holidays. Just change the colors and theme to suit the occasion.
