Round Top Here I Come!

I am off to Round Top on Wednesday of this week with some friends. We are soooo excited because none of us has been before! I am sure we will be so overwhelmed. I hope to take pictures of lots of stuff and post them when I get back.

This antique extravaganza happens in the Spring and then again in the Fall. It is suppose to be well worth the trip. People come from all over the country. I  happen to just have been on a blog http://mydesertcottage.blogspot.com/ by a lady from Scottsdale Arizona. She is coming.  You can check out this blog http://www.antiqueweekend.com/indexmain.html if your interested in coming in the Fall. They have listed lots of great info for you.

Also, check out http://gardenantqs.blogspot.com/ Garden Vintage Antiques blog. She will have a booth at Zapp Hall. She also is having a blog party tonight there. Wish I was already there and could attend that. I found out about her when she had a booth at a shop down in Malakoff, TX.  Her blog is very interesting. She travels all over Texas and visits antique shops and all kinds of other great places. So check her out.

We will have three fun days to shop til we drop! See ya when I get back!

House Mouse Card For April

Here is what I was doing several weekends ago. Mass production of House Mouse cards for April. 95 of these little babies shipped off last Friday to Oklahoma to be sent out to various stamping  and scrapbooking stores. Here is a close-up of the finished card. I added Diamond Stickles to the lemons. It turned out very cute!

Brayer Class Cards

I went to Spring Texas this past weekend to take a few brayer classes from Michelle Zindorf http://zindorf.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/ . I must say she is a wiz with the brayer! If you ever have a chance to take a class from her DO NOT hesitate! It is fun and you will learn some great techniques using this tool that a lot of us do not pick up anymore. I hope to develop some classes to teach at
Stamp Asylum later this year using the things I learned.

Valentine Swap & Steampunk Heart

These painted tin cans were for a Valentine swap in one of my art groups. Using the paper rosette die by Tim Holtz to accent the front of the can and fringed tulle behind it gave a fun dimensional look.

This beauty is made from clay in the Steampunk style of art. I made it at another one of my art group meetings. Two ladies taught us the how to. I decided to frame it at the suggestion of another friend.
