Antique Finds This Weekend

I went antiquing today in Malakoff and Athens, Texas. They are South East about an hour and a half from my house. Had a really fun time in both towns.

I met Donna Rinn from Curious Goods www.curiousgoodsantiques.blogspot.com at Canton last month when I was there. She told me about her store in Malakoff and so I said I would make it down to see it. I had heard about a new antique mall in Athens called Winnie and Tulula's www.winnieandtululas.blogspot.com and she also told me about it. She has a booth in there and was giving out flyers for it at Canton. It is well worth going to both towns. They are only about ten minutes apart.

Curious Goods has steampunk jewelry that Donna makes. Really cool stuff! I found a pair of earrings and a ring I just couldn't live without. They are also carry flash cards, dominoes, furniture and all kinds of other vintage stuff.

But look at the goods I got today! The find of the day was three yes I said THREE vintage photo albums (no pictures inside but who cares). $35 was the most I paid for one of them. The other two were $20 and $22. Most of the time when you find these they are over $65.

It's hard to see the little flower frog in this picture below. I had never seen a tiny one like it before. Never have seen green scrabble like pieces before either. I don't think they are scrabble pieces but they are from some kind of game.
Can't wait to cut open these light bulbs and put someone or something inside of them. They are really big ones too!
These two photos are close-ups of the jewelry I bought.

See? I told you! :D It's a drive, but I'm so glad you found it worth your while. When I went Hubs was with me..not exactly his cup of tea, LOL, so I can see that I'm going to have to make a run on my own. Everything you found is awesome, can't wait to see what you do with those bulbs.
