I hosted a meeting yesterday at my home for my art group. I know it is after Valentines but I kinda had a Valentine theme. Look at these cupcakes! They were YUM YUM!! The little pennant picks are from House of 3 http://houseof3.com. My sweet friend Mary let me borrow her cupcake stand and she made the picks for me.
Speaking of House of 3...they have some fabulous downloadable products to pick from. If you do not work digitally it's no problem. There are lots of printables you can use. Just print, cut out and decorate however you wish. Easy peasy! This is banner I printed out from them and decorated.
This banner is made from foam hearts I got at Michaels. Add some doilies and glitter letters and you have a masterpiece.
These spinner cards are from House of 3 also. Really fun to put together.
Our project for the meeting was a small easel and canvas. The inspiration for this project was the larger canvas in the photo that I got at Target. I found the smaller easel and canvases at Joanne Fabrics. The very small cherry canvas was done my friend Cindy. She sells her items at The Dove's Nest in Waxahachie, TX http://thedovesnestrestaurant.com/index.html. That is a great store and you should go check it out.
I received some wonderful hostess gifts. Check out this HUGH lollie! My friend Traci made it. She is a House of 3 convert too. Go to Rhonna Farrer's blog http://rhonnadesigns.blogspot.com/ to see a video on how to make the lollies. They are so fun!
Another friend, Jeanne made these beautiful organza flowers. There is a pin back on it so I added it to my purse. These are going to be featured with soldering in a future class at The Stamp Asylum so stay tuned for more info on that in a later post. I am working out the details now for the class. Jeanne was wonderful and gave me permission to use her idea.
The theme of the swap was red and it was a great one! I got lots of flowers!! I love them!
